The 2nd Registration Coordinator, Qabeelat Durbah Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Home of the Liwaa' 2009 inshaAllah Posts: 594	Scholarship Information for Durbah Seminars InshaAllah Durbah will be offering 19 scholarships for the upcoming seminar in New Jersey which will take place on September 24-26 and October 2-3, Insha'Allah. Durbah Academic Scholarship (2 recipients) Siddiqui & Chilwan Scholarship (2 recipients) IQRA Scholarship for Excellence (2 recipients) Hidayah Scholarship for New Muslims (up to 2 recipients) - Apply Here - See Application for Deadline Southern Hospitality Scholarship (1 recipient) - Apply Here - See Application for Deadline MRA Scholarship (10 recipients) - Apply Here - See Application for Deadline The first three scholarships mentioned above are academic scholarships which are based primarily on exam scores from the previous AlMaghrib seminar. The fourth scholarship is to sponsor new Muslims and help them learn about their deen. The fifth scholarship is to reward those sisters who travel from afar to take the seminars. And the sixth is to reward those who promise to write about and promote the seminars they take through articles. Read on for details about these scholarships and how you may be eligible! This scholarship has been established to support students who do well in AlMaghrib Institute courses, to continue in their endeavors and to encourage them to increase their knowledge. APPLICATION DEADLINE There is no application for this scholarship. You are automatically eligible to be in the running to receive a scholarship by attending & taking the exam. ELIGIBILITY In order to receive this scholarship: The student must have scored the highest on an AlMaghrib Course Exam. The exam must be taken during the date & location that the exam is first administered at Qabeelat Durbah. Deferral exams of any type do not qualify for this scholarship. Student must have attended all dates of the double weekend seminar in the course offered, prior to the next course given The scholarship may only be used for the student who has made the achievement and may not be transferred to another student. The winners of this scholarship will be notified via e-mail and forums. The scholarship will be awarded for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar. If the student wishes to not accept the scholarship for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar, it will be considered

Siddiqui and sister F. Chilwan, of Qabeelat Durbah in the year 1428 AH. It has been established on the principle of assisting students in their endeavor to increase knowledge and deen of Islam through the AlMaghrib Institute. APPLICATION DEADLINE There is no application for this scholarship. ELIGIBILITY The scholarship will pay for any qualifying student for a single course offered by AlMaghrib Institute in full for tuition fees. The student must comply with the following criteria in order to qualify: Student must have attended all dates of the double weekend seminar in the course offered, prior to the next course given Student must attend and complete the exam in the assigned exam location on the assigned exam date prior to the next course given Student must have attended and written exams in at least 3 Qabeelat Durbah courses Scholarship is awarded to the student with the highest exam score The scholarship may only be used for the student who has made the achievement and may not be transferred to another student. The winners of this scholarship will be notified via e-mail and forums. The scholarship will be awarded for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar. If the student decides to forego the award, it will be given to the next highest exam score. If the student wishes to not accept the scholarship for the next upcoming Qabeelat Durbah seminar, it will be considered forfeited and given to the next eligible student.

This scholarship has been founded by a Durbah student to increase the search for knowledge and to achieve excellence in matters of the deen. APPLICATION DEADLINE There is no application for this scholarship. ELIGIBILITY In order to receive this scholarship: Student must have attended all dates of the double weekend seminar in the course offered, prior to the next course given The student must have scored the highest on an AlMaghrib Course Exam. This scholarship will help make it financially possible for new Muslims to take AlMaghrib courses and can thereby create a new avenue through which new Muslims can gain knowledge about the various Islamic sciences. APPLICATION DEADLINE See application for deadline. ELIGIBILITY In order to receive this scholarship: The student should be a new Muslim. The student must attend all dates of the double or single-weekend seminar in the course offered. The student must take the exam after attending the course. The 2nd Registration Coordinator, Qabeelat Durbah Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Home of the Liwaa' 2009 inshaAllah Posts: 594	Re: Qabeelat Durbah Scholarships Southern Hospitality Scholarship MAXIMUM AMOUNT 1 Course Tuition ($165) NUMBER OF AWARDS: 1 Per Course Offering DESCRIPTION: This scholarship has been established to facilitate seminars for female students who would be traveling a distance of 45 miles or more from the Southern parts of New Jersey. APPLICATION DEADLINE See application for deadline. ELIGIBILITY In order to receive this scholarship: Student must be a female who lives at least 45 miles from the venue. Student must have attended all dates of the seminar in the course offered. Student must take the exam at completion of seminar. Student is eligible to receive the Southern Hospitality Scholarship only once per Gregorian calendar year, unless there are no other qualifying candidates who meet the minimum mileage requirement. It is also aimed at helping those who are in need of financial assistance. APPLICATION DEADLINE See application for deadline. ELIGIBILITY In order to receive this scholarship: Scholarship is awarded to the students with an exam score of 75% *and above. Student must write and submit an article of at least two pages highlighting beneficial points which were acquired through attending the seminar within two weeks after end of seminar. The scholarship will be awarded based on both academic merit as well as financial need. Student must have attended all dates of the double weekend seminar in the course offered.
