Need help with section on Ibraheem

Assalamu alaikum warahmatulah wa barakatuhu,

I had to leave the class early because of my Wheel Trans ride, so I missed the section dealing with Ibraheem: The Father of Prophets.

I appreciate if anyone can share their notes with me.

Wa3alaikum asalam warahmatuaAllah wabarakatu,

alrigth sis, here goes :)

Verse 124:
Ustadh first mentioned that when Chrsitians or Jewish people claim that Ibraheem(as) was of either religions, that that is not possible because Ibrahim(as) was before both Isa(as) and Musa(as.) He(as) was before the scriptures were brought down to them.

This verse (if u can look at the meaning) is when Allah(swt) tested Ibrahim(as) <which shows how everyone will be tested, even prophets were> He(as) was tested with the fire, leaving his wife in the desert with the child and the dream of slaughtering his child. Ibrahim(as) passed his tests.
Ustadh then goes to say, how does one become a leader? (because in the verse, Allah(swt) told Ibrahim(as) (after he passed the tests) that He(swt) will make him the imam (leader) of mankind)

The answer is through one's tests..and through these numerous tests to be patient. Which Ibrahim(as) showed.

Ibrahim(as) then goes to ask about his offsprings (to make them leaders) and Allah(swt) tells him that His(swt)’s Covenant does not include the Zalimun. (we see here how parents should make du3aa for their children)

Verse 125

In this verse we learn that the Ka’ba is a place of security. (maqama ibrahim… Golden Dome) The making of the ka’ba by Ibrahim(as) was done by stepping back after the placement of a brick, this was done numerous times. As the ustadh said, he stepped back to see how it looks… this later made a footstep on the ground of his(as)’s

This symbolizes the perfecting of what one does for the sake of Allah(swt), Ihsan.

This verse also has the four things one does in the ka’ba… 1. circumambulating it, 2. staying for I’tikaf, 3. Bowing 4. prostrating (the 3 and 4 during salah)


Verse 126

This verse is when Ibrahim(as) makes a du3aa to make the land a land of security, for the believers. The key word here is the believers, recall the first du3aa he made for his children, and Allah(swt) answering that His(swt) Covenant does not include the zalimun…

Well here, Allah(swt) answered that He(swt) will also do so for the disbelievers… however, they will be compelled to the torment of the Fire at the end.. (plz see translation)






ok sister, there are five more verses to go in this section inshaAllah, and about 12 more in the next.

Would u like me to continue to write them like this? or perhaps u can meet up with ur study group sistas and make one of them photocopy their notes for ya...

or i can do this...lol..i dont mind
