at first, i was happy because its further away from exams.
but then i'm like noooooooooooooooooooo!!
because:
- my friend is getting married that weekend
- more importantly for the Majdians, the first weekend happens to be the first after 'Eid (and therefore a very busy time)

Eid inshAllah will probably be on NOV 4th, which is a Friday. INshAllah the class is the weekend after.
Even if the schedule wasnt changed, the wedding would still fall on teh same day as HOK. (That is if we're talking about the same wedding).
INshAllah, everythign will work out for everyone. The dates inshAllah shouldnt be an issue.
Sarah do you think you could just state in the first post that this is a changed date. I almost thought it was the original one until I double checked what I had marked on my calendar.

i'm sorry, my mistake. if there's a weekend between eid and the classes, then I think it'll be better....
its just that i assumed that the classes would be held in the last two weekends of november.
khair its all good inshaAllah.

this happens sometimes in other qabeelahs too. if the friday gets cut (its only like 3 hours anyway), then you make up for the missed hours on the saturday/sunday.
personally, i like it better this way.
Just in case you missed it...
In-sha Allah Majd will be hosting

Camp conquest childcare will be available during the 2 weekends of the
Conquest seminar.

This was probably mentioned before, but I couldn't find the times for the classes. On the weekend isn't it something like 9:00 to 6:00 ? but what about the second weekend, and friday, Could someone please tell me?

I found the following info on this website: http://www.almaghrib.org/con.php
But i'm sure once you register, you get an email with the exact information as well prior to the course insha'Allaah.
Friday: 7:30 pm - 10 pm
Sat/Sun: 10:30 am - 8 pm
The session include a 10-minute break every 50 minutes. The day is mixed with activities, discussions, and lecture.
The time includes a two-hour break in the early afternoon.
Don't let the hours scare you. AlMaghrib is different from marathon halaqahs that trigger memories of pain. InshaAllah, count on it.

Jazakallah, sis! However, for the second weekend, wasn't the Friday going to be skipped, and its hours adding on to the saturday/sunday? What are the timings for then?
