Who Have you invited to HOK?

Assalamaualaikum

I would like to implore to my fellow Majdians that we use our voice to spread the word, that Al Maghrib is coming back to town.

If you attended either the Breach of Covenant or Code of Scholars you will know how beneficial these classes were. Not only from a knowledge base, but also from the company we had in each other, the new friends we met, and the popeyes down the street ;)


So why wouldn't you want to share that with your friends?!?!?! If it benefited you, it can benefit your friends as well.

So here is the challenge I pose to all:

Bring one friend with you, to the next class. A new friend who wasn't at the previous two classes.

One friend = double the class size = double the fun = doublemint gum???

Err..nevermind

Point being...Who have you invited to the next class?

Who will you share the knowledge of this deen with?

Who will you bring to Janat Al Fardous with you?

i absolutely agree ... just one other newbie on the part of everyone who attended either class would bring our numbers even greater .... inshaAllah that way we can share the knowledge and also enjoy the benefit of bringing someone to learn for the sake of Allah and we can share the popeyes and share the calories ........... think of the possibilities !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have just under 2 weeks left... and should be getting another 150 people in this time.

Anyone with ideas on the best way to do it?

i.e. Who's handing out flyers at which Eid prayer location? I know it gets tempting to just place things on the windshield of every car in the parking lot, but most people dont give those things a second glance, esp if there's 2-3 other flyers on it as well. Hand-to-hand distribution usually works best...

... scratch that, this stuff should be happening every day for taraawih prayers! Most masjids usually have a program on the 27th/ 29th (2 days we still have)... maybe we can manipulate the atmosphere and tell people in our immediate vicinity (at the masjid itself, even if they're strangers) about the HoK classes, but more importantly, WHY they're so important for Muslims here and now.

I'll probably be at alFalah tomorrow.
