“It was reported that Umar ibnul-Khattab asked Ubayy ibn Ka`b about Taqwa. Ubayy said, "Have you ever walked on a path that had thorns on it'' 'Umar said, "Yes." Ubayy said, "What did you do then" He said, "I rolled up my sleeves and struggled." Ubayy said, "That is Taqwa.”
Before any discontinued Qabeelah or new locations can be established as a recognized Qabeelah, they will need to go through a process of valuation. In this process (and beyond) students will need to roll up their sleeves and prove themselves.
The recognition of discontinued Qabaa’il and new locations will be based on the following:
Locally organized promotional event (s)
Volunteerism and involvement in their community
HYPE- Video Trailers, E-News, Website, and most importantly, community awareness.
If they pass the evaluation phase, they will be requested to submit an official bid outlining how they will host a successful AlMaghrib standard seminar. Bid will be reviewed by Head Quarters Shura (management staff and instructors) to decide if the bid will be put to action.
Once a bid is approved by the grace of Allaah, they (that location) will be granted a single weekend seminar with conditional target requirements. If all requirements are met, they will officially be granted the title of “Qabeelah”. However, if they do not meet the required conditions, they will not get another class and will be delayed for a minimum of one year to re-bid.
Locations with a close target reach may be granted a second chance with a double-weekend seminar, of course with higher expectation to prove their capability.
During the process of trying to gain “Qabeelah” status, Ameer/Ameerah, website, and banu name will not be recognized by AlMaghrib Institute. Head Quarters reserves the right to make or suggest changes.
