Is it permissible for a Muslim man to marry two sisters (as in two women) in the same

Few months ago I came across a shocking incident so I want to ask…Is it permissible for a Muslim man to marry two sisters (as in two women) in the same night? The incident I’m referring to, both sister were present at the walima. Also what is the ruling for a man marrying another woman without informing his first wife? And by ruling I mean is it allowed, disliked and so on?

I think a man cannot marry sisters at the same time. If he has married a sister and if she dies, then he is permissible to marry her sister but not when she is alive.

I dont have any evidences for it, but I have heard this as the ruling.

Please correct me if its wrong.

i do believe that the sister meant "sisters" as in two muslim women...not sisters in blood. Allahu Alam.
