Divorced lately? What was your information experience

As salamu alaykum,
For such an important topic (and obviously one that many people are researching), I wonder if anyone has looked up this topic and what was their experience.

Did they find the information easily and readily available, and simple to understand.

Or did they have to follow old-wives tales (pun intended :)) about what they needed to do.

The information you have requested is islamic information(talaq,Khulaa,Iddah) or
divorce laws in North America.

I am helping a revert sister currently who is undergoing this process and in past few weeks I have digged up so much information. But it wasnt enough as I still have to seek scholar's help.

If you could clarify, inshaAllah I can post my findings/experiences inshaAllah.

The truth is, is that I couldn't find all the information I needed. So I had to consult with 3ulemaa in order to get the proper help and guidence that I needed.

As far as services and matters directly related to custody issues and what not, it's something notaccessable unless one goes to an 3alem that deals with the issues at hand. Those 3ulemaa are few and far between.
