Asalaamu Alaikum WaRahmatullah WaBarakatahu...

Light of Guidance, Love Notes.....you did well...

But, I noticed in myself....preparation was not made to take this class.

Almaghrib provides us with "WAYS (http://www.almaghrib.org/prep_tce.php)" to prepare for classes, but how many of us really do this ?

NOW I ASK YOU,

whether you are taking this class or not....
how are you preparing for this class..?

Repond,
Tell the entire forum community, and even the world

What are you studying in preparation for this class?
Physically, Intellectually, Emotionally?

Prepare

so, what I am doing...

I have already started reading The Evolution of Fiqh...

Trying to make my Salat on time as much as possible as well as immersing myself in study in the coming days. I want us to be the best, for the sake of Allah. It really bothers me when some basic questions are asked and we do not know the answer.

Dawah starts with ones self.

I beg Allah accepts this from us.

Also, I have found that at times I listen to CDs and it is just as if I am staring into space.

Recently, ACTIVE listening has helped for much of the topic to STICK.

For example, I set aside a time, away from distraction, listen to lectures as if I am in class and just take notes, notching up GEM after GEM...

Next step, is to do a follow up on my notes, and review ..

ANYONE ELSE ?

As-Salaamu-Alaikum.
Long time browser, first time poster.
Seeing that this will be my first time in taking an Al Maghrib course, reading through that preparation page gave me an idea of what is required of the student.
Loved the fact that it was very comprehensive.
The crossword puzzle was also cool...showed me that I need to brush up big time :)
Thanks for the info.
