Assalama 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu,

*puts the competition to the side for a minute*

I was wondering how exactly you manage the power of 10. I understand you have all of the students interested email you at the power of 10 address, and then you put them into different groups. How many ppl manage this and, what if you have say 222 people. What happens to the extra 2 ppl who don't have a complete group? Is it like first pay first serve?
I'm just wondering if we should let ppl make their own groups, and if we will create more work for the volunteers if we try to organize the power of 10... Is it really worth it? And, if you don't mind answering, how many groups were you able to make your last seminar?

This is our first double weekend seminar in almost 2 years! Please bare with us :)

JazakumAllah khayr,

Wassalama 'Alaykum

Wa'Alaykum As Salam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

*puts the competition to the side for a minute* Sure, if you say so.

I don't think we've had this problem of students being left out of a power of ten group, wAlhamdulilah. There's always a way to fit everyone in..let us know when you figure it out tho http://forums.almaghrib.org/images/icons/icon10.gif.

In addition to having students email you, what creates more hype and enthusiasm is if you have volunteers create power of 10 groups. That could evolve into an intra qabeelah competition [just refer to any of our threads for that!]
And just a suggestion, def let anyone who wants to make a power of 10 group make one. If they are incharge of making it, then it's their responsibility to make sure they have 10 people.

InshaAllah this helped. I'm sure there are others who can chip in if you need more.
