This upcoming Labor Day weekend, the city of Naperville is hosting an annual event called the "Last Fling". It's a type of festival for their city.
Alhamdulillah, Islamic Center of Naperville (ICN), has aquired a booth at this event, and we are planning to give da'wa there (in some kind of conjunction/affiliation with ICNA I think).
"Dog, I'd love to, but ISNA is this weekend." Yeah, I know that, but I'm not really buying that excuse. Alhamdulillah, we are all blessed to live in the Chicago area, so its not like going to ISNA means going somewhere out of town. You can easily do both. And besides, the way they are going to do it is to divide each day (4 days total) into shifts. So you really only need to volunteer for about 4-5 hours(more is even better).
So if any brothers are interested (I would prefer brothers only due the circumstances of the event and surroundings), please send me an email tonight and try to be at ICN at 6pm Tuesday for the meeting.
However, if you can't make it to ICN tommorow due to the short notice, don't let that be an excuse not to come to the event. You can contact me later in the week too, if that's more convenient.
