Bismilah.
Assalamu alaykum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatuh.
So, Ramadan is almost over. Soon the devils will be unchained, and for many of us, the eman-high phase might go down. I was thinking of compiling adhkaar/actions from Qur'an and Sunnah, which are specifically prescribed to help us guard against Shaytaan.
1---Reciting Surat-ul-Baqarah:
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “Shaytan runs away from the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited.” (Sahih Muslim).
2---Seeking refuge in Allah:
وَإِمَّا يَنزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللّهِ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ
7:200: And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah . Indeed, He is Hearing and Knowing.
Saying 'Authobillahi minashaytaanir Rajeem.
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ
وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحْضُرُونِ
23:97-98: And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils. And I seek refuge in You, my Lord , lest they be present with me."
3--- Reciting Surah Naas and Falaq:
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: The Prophet used to seek protection against the Jinn and the evil eye till surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas were revealed. After they were revealed he stuck to them and discarded everything beside them. [Transmitted by Tirmidhi]
I hope other people can help me compile other actions/adhkaar as well. The audio CD, when wolves became shepherd, has good suggestions as well.
