Asalamualakum,

Is this course no longer taking place after Shiekh Riad leaves? I honestly believe that Every Qabeelah needs to get a taste of this course and even make it a pre-req before taking any course!!! Allahu Ta3ala knows best.

However, I Really hope Almaghrib plans to continue this course. Although, the instructor that takes over does have some great shoes to fill, I dont see that being a real problem since EaCH ONE of the Almaghrib Instructors is Truly Amazing Mashallah!!=)

I'd like to 2nd this thread, we need this course for soooo many reasons. Is it possible to fly in Shaykh Riad to the States? Like it doesn't even have to be that far ::cough:: New York City ::cough:: ....I think we'd do anything at this point to get this course.

I third that! I don't know what Shaykh Riad's schedule is like, but it would awesome if some of us in the states get a taste of Heart Serene one last time with Shaykh Riad. I like the "flying in" idea. :)

I agree, I really wanted to take this course. It would be okay to continue it with another instructor, I wouldn't mind. Please keep the course!

Assalaamu Alaikum,

I was thinking of making a similar thread because this course was excellent. I would have to say that this was the most beneficial course that I've taken from AlMaghrib in an overall sense. It wasn't just the class, it was the teacher as well. Sheikh Riad did an excellent job of combining two teaching styles: motivational and informative. While some other courses and instructors lean more towards one side, Sheikh Riad really went in the middle and gave both.

I really think having AlMaghrib courses based off of classical works like this one is a great idea. Great Imams and Ibn Al-Qayyim really have done wonders in compiling and writing the knowledge of Islam. When their books are taught, there is just so much more benefit that comes from it, in my opinion.

AlMaghrib should really look to keep this course but at the same time make sure whoever takes over does as good a job as Sheikh Riad or better. I think that this course wouldn't have been so beneficial if it wasn't for the balance of teaching styles and the energy in conveying the message that Sheikh Riad gave.

May Allah reward him and reward AlMaghrib for all of their efforts. Every Qabeelah needs this, I feel bad that so many people did not get the chance to take this course.

Assalaamu Aleeykum wa Rahmatu Allah...

It's amazing how everyone who has taken the class is saying the exact same thing... The material was excellent, the teacher was amazing, we are sad he's leaving, we want this class for everyone... I don't think it'll stop... The teacher truly and honestly delivered in the best manner possible... He kept on saying he couldn't give justice to Ibnul Qayyim's book rahimahu Allah... and i honestly thought he gave it enough and hundred times more....

So, I think Sh. Waleed Basyouni is the instructor that should teach this subject if Sh. Riad won't be here... Why? They really have a verrrrry similar style in teaching, telling stories that are funny and also touchy..

If it comes back, find a way for Shaykh Riad to teach it. It was just too amazing; it was the combinaton of the material and Shaykh Riad's incredible style that made it such a phenomenal experience (not just a seminar) altogether.

I would really love to take this course, and when I found out that the Shaykh Riad is not here and the course is no longer being offered, I was kind of disappointed. So can we please continue this course????????

How about June 27-29 and July 4-6?

(That would work with both high school students and university students taking spring courses who don't want July 11 weekend because it might be exam weekend)
