Salaam Alaikum

We've received queries regarding non AlMaghrib students applying to this program.

Although other students are not automatically denied the right to apply, there is no doubt that the program is geared primarily towards AlMaghrib students, especially those who have taken more classes and exams.

That having been said, if there are serious students of knowledge out there, and they can show that they have some solid training in the classical sciences, then such people will indeed be looked into and possibly admitted. The purpose is to teach knowledge to qualified people, not just AlMaghrib students, but the emphasis will be on our student body.

Two quick questions, ustadh:

1. Would there be some sort of quota system to ensure that almaghrib students are not squeezed out of the process? eg 80/100 students must have taken x number of almaghrib courses?

2. How would this impact other requirements for the program?

eg if someone has taken 6 alMaghrib classes, but LoG is not one of them, would they still be considered as candidates if they can prove they've taken Aqeedah classes somewhere else?

1- As of yet we don't have a 'quota' system, however we might have to place one depending on the quality and quantity of applicants.

2- LOG is a very important pre-req, as is Usool al-Fiqh. These two courses will def help someone get in. That doesn't mean that just because you haven't taken these courses you can't apply; again we will judge students on a case by case basis. If you can show that you've studies these subjects elsewhere, that's a good substitute.

yaa Sheikh, if we haven't taken LOG but we registered for it, made tons of du'aa to go, didn't go because we wanted to please our parents and be the coolness of their eyes and heart, are listening/want to finish listening to your Kitab atTawheed lectures online, will outline those lectures by notes, and attend a Tawheed halaqa, will this suffise????

sincerely,
a lover of TawheedLOL!!

On the application forms, there will be plenty of space (and you're always free to add your own sheets of paper) where you can explain your individual circumstances.

We will look at the students overall. Humans will be involved in the selection process, not computers :D
