Is it true the Quran says that sperm comes from a man’s backbone? (or a place between the backbone and ribs) How do we reconcile this statement with our scientific and medical knowledge that sperm is produced in the testicles? I've read a few articles on this which show this to be an incorrect scientific statement in the Quran, no matter how its interpreted.
If it were true, a man who had his testicles removed due to injury or disease would still be able to produce sperm from the backbone and have offspring. Clearly this is not the case. Medical students and anyone with a basic understanding of reproduction know this.
Doesn't this show that the Quran has an incorrect understanding of human reproduction?
