definitely the shuyookh panel at the end of ilmfest new york.. it rocked

but i think my favorite was the end of shaykh muhammad's televised talk in which he ended with talking about (and to) Imam Siraj Wahhaj, thanking him for all his service to the ummah.. it brought serious tears to everyones eyes

^^ Yes, the panel was great.
It was nice to see them interact and joke around with each other.
Made us even more eager for AlMaghrib U to arrive (inshallah).

And the Muhammad AlShareef vid when the hall of 800+ (plus a few kids) went dead silent, listening to him (though it would be great if you can get him LIVE. How symbolic would that be? Full circle for Nurayn!!!)

It would be great if you could get the Shuyookh's opinions on these and then build on them for your IlmFest.

ok so i don't see how this will help plan for the next ilmfest.. but it was certainly a memorable moment
shaykh yasir qadhi went up and stated matter-of-factly to the audience.. something along the lines of "we're standing in a historic building today (and it was) in which only two days ago barack HUSSEIN obama stood to deliver a speech"
*all of the audience goes wild* :D it was great how he emphasized his middle name

And Abraham Lincoln also spoke there, I believe.

Ilmfest 2006 (Chi-town). Masha'Allah, memorable lectures were given, i.e divine GPS, till this day gives me a whole new meaning to Istiqarah. And who can forget the awesome "Debunking the male bias myth". Later on when you end up watching the lectures, if they are recorded...its truly awesome. Ilmfest, conferences, etc. the lectures are the most amazing moments for me, alhamdulilah.

For the first time hearing Shaykh Abdul-Bary's story. I recall when he spoke the auditorium was a hush during the Panel. I think he was the star of that Panel Q&A .... he really shined mashAllah.

Hearing the shyookh recite during Salaah on both days.

Volunteers wearing uniforms: Brothers wore customized T-Shirts and sisters wore black abayas with gold/yellow arm bands...matched the awesome decor colors.

Meeting new sisters from other qabaail...One of the best moments!

The most memorable moment at IlmFest 2007 was praying outside in a large field. I don't think I have ever prayed outside before that.
