Nasheed Enquiry...

Asalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmat Ullahi wa barakaatuh,

I'm sorry if this seems a tad random buuuuut...

I, and a number of sisters at the HS class were wondering, why was the Zawjati nasheed being played continuously? (used as an anchor I know...but whyyy? :))

It was cute, and quite funny as myself and another sister were sat together, we both subconciously joined into the chorus "zawjateeeee" and then realised, and burst out laughing. "Why on earth are we singing zawjati?" lol!

An explanation would be quite cool please.... we are confused :)

Was that the first or second weekend? First weekend was just random Nasheeds by Ahmed Bukhatir, I think, and Shaykh Riad got his way with the second weekends' Nasheeds. Im sure the organisers will spread some light

Zawjati is a nasheed about the wife, and halal love, seen as it's heart serene it goes quite well. Everytime I hear it it takes me back to HS, the sheikh would make us cry then give us a break and put this nasheed on.......

Subhanallah the Nasheeds played on the Hearts Serene were just the best, they take me back to tong school and the awesome time we had... they have an tranquil effect mashallah

I did that on purpose, it's like an anchor, so that anytime you guys hear those songs, you would remember the Heart Serene insha'Allah.
