The Finale- Sisters Ilmination Competition

The talent just keeps coming! AlMaghrib sisters raising the bar, mashaAllaah.

Last Tuesday saw audiences transported into lands only poetry can take you; of sands and seas, of royal kings and queens. The imagery was captivating as the audiences were taken in by the web of imagination. The poets spoke of time and of risks, and had the audiences riding on an emotional and mental rollercoaster, as they savoured the words. Our guest poet, Sr. Karimah also spiced things up with a beautiful presentation of her poem.

Round 2 definitely heated the artistic temperature. After much deliberation, the winner of Round 2 hails from Qabeelat Haadi (California), a sister with smooth soulstress delivery: Umm Sulaym. This puts her up against round two's amazing winner: Umm Dreamer (of Qabeelat Ansar – Ottawa).

Who will take the crown? Qabeelat Ansar or Qabeelat Haadi?

mashaAllah, this ilmination was amazing...WAY better than the brothers alhamdulillah :) Not only was it fun but it was personal and the finale was super inspirational.

Whoever isn't motivated to write SOMETHING after this needs to listen to the ilmination again :)
