What did Abdullah ibn Masud say?

Does anyone remember if it was Abu Darda who said this and what exactly was said, this is what I remember roughly:

A time will come in the Ummah when people will decorate their mushafs and their masajid and make the masajid really big and then said something about their destruction?

From Sh. Google, I got that it was Abu Darda who said:
"If you decorate your mosques and mushaf then destruction will befall you."
