As salam 'alaikum wa rahamatullah,
Husbands always tend to think they are smarter than their wives, and how untrue this holds to be MOST of the time! I remember one time I was talking to my wife while I was still in Madinah and we were both reading the same book at that time ("The life of Pi") and I told her: "I bet you can't guess what my favorite part of the book is!" Less than two days later, lo and behold she actually got it spot on! At that time I thought "No way! She couldn't have gotten it" So I tried to get out of it by asking her the page number, and since our copies were different the pages didn't actually coincide, and that is how I partially kept my ego in tact! But deep down inside we both new that she was right. The point of this story you're asking?
Each person has a favorite part in every good story, and the story of Imam Al-Bukhari rivals with the best of them! So what's my favorite part of the story? Come attend the free friday and find out!
You want a hint? It has something to do with a blind child being able to see again, and another man leaving such "pure" money behind for the Imam that he was able to say: "I am so sure of the purity of my wealth that I can openly claim that EACH dirham has come from a halal source."
May Allah have mercy on our parents and his...ameen!
Oops, I just gave it away!
Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday!
