LET'S BRING AL-MAGHRIB TO PHILLY
We have a plethora of eager students, who are hungry. Yet their stomachs are filled to the brim (1/3 of their stomachs, of course) by the juicy cheesesteaks from Broad Street Steaks, but it is their minds that are devoid of any similar contentment.
May Allah fill the eager minds of Philadelphia with the knowledge of His religion. Ameen
I am a student at the University of Pennsylvania and I recently spoke with people from Al-Maghrib about starting a Qabeelah in Philadelphia, and they have stated that if we can demonstrate our sincere passion and dedication to seeking knowledge, they will more than happily agree.
Fortunately by the great Mercy of Allah, all we are required to do is to bring a sizeable number of committed people to IlmFest, taking place October 3rd-4th in Baltimore, MD. They said we should be able to bring about 50 people.
Bringing Al-Maghrib is well within our reach. If we fail here, we would only have ourselves to blame.
Insha'Allah if we get enough people, we can also arrange for a large chartered bus to go down to Philadelphia. But post here if you're interested in making this a reality.
May Allah guide our efforts and keep us on the straight path.
