Question about Shura

I just had a question about the shura in the time of the khilafaa, and the sisters' involvement or role in shura. For example, there are many knowledagble women in Islam such as Aisha (raa)..Did the ameer ask her for shura? I am sure she was involved indirectly but I would like to know if there was any direct involvement. Jazak Allah Khair, wassalamu Alaikum

What do you mean by direct involvement?
In modern times, a lot of people have taken upon a Shoora 'council'. In the time of the khulafaa' there was no 'council' as such, but people were asked based on the importance of the issue and the peoples background/expertise in the issue.
