Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
Assalamu 'Alaykium Wa Rahmetullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
How do we live up to our name according to the Quran and Sunnah. SubhanAllah, this morning I read this Ayah and thought of our Qabeelah. Lets list any reference on how Allah swt guides us to be the successful ones from the Quran and Sunnah. I'll start us off.
3. Ali-Imran:200
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.

Walaykum assalamu Warahmtullahi Warakatuhu,
Al-imran:104
104. Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islam), enjoining Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.

^ Mashallah, nice thread, great reminders for us all.
Wa'alaykumasalaam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Wamagfiratan :)
O you who believe! Bow down, and prostrate yourselves, and worship your Lord and do good that you may be successful.

I like this thread. I love the word falah even more so I'd like to contribute. :)
Al Baqarah: 1-5
The characteristics of the muttaqeen are that they are successful!
الم
Alif. Laam. Meem.
That is the book that has no doubt in it (at all); a guide for the Muttaqeen.
Those who believe in the unseen and perfectly establish the salah and from what we provide to them, they spend from it.
And those who believe in what was revealed to you (O Muhammad - salallahu 'alaihi wa salaam) and what was revealed before you (O Muhammad - salallahu 'alaihi wa salaam) and in the Hereafter they are absolutely sure.
Upon those is the guidance from their Rabb, and those, they are the muflihoon (the successful ones).

Wouldn't it be interesting to have a thread for qabeelat fawz as well? Fawz and Falah are success, but let's see who can point out the differences. :)

Certainly will the believers have succeeded:
They who are during their prayer humbly submissive.
And they who turn away from ill speech.
And they who are observant of zakah.
And they who guard their private parts.Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed -
But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors -
And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive
And they who carefully maintain their prayers -
Those are the inheritors
Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally.

Sahih Bukhari,
Volume 1, Book 2, Number 44:
Narrated Talha bin 'Ubaidullah:
A man from Najd with unkempt hair came to Allah's Apostle and we heard his loud voice but could not understand what he was saying, till he came near and then we came to know that he was asking about Islam. Allah's Apostle said, "You have to offer prayers perfectly five times in a day and night (24 hours)." The man asked, "Is there any more (praying)?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, but if you want to offer the Nawafil prayers (you can)." Allah's Apostle further said to him: "You have to observe fasts during the month of Ramad, an." The man asked, "Is there any more fasting?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, but if you want to observe the Nawafil fasts (you can.)" Then Allah's Apostle further said to him, "You have to pay the Zakat (obligatory charity)." The man asked, "Is there any thing other than the Zakat for me to pay?" Allah's Apostle replied, "No, unless you want to give alms of your own." And then that man retreated saying, "By Allah! I will neither do less nor more than this." Allah's Apostle said, "If what he said is true, then he will be successful (i.e. he will be granted Paradise)."

Here is a reminder of who the successful are from Heraclius’s mouth!!!
“Heraclius invited all the heads of the Byzantines to assemble in his palace at Homs. When they assembled, he ordered that all the doors of his palace be closed. Then he came out and said, 'O Byzantines! If success is your desire and if you seek right guidance and want your empire to remain then give a pledge of allegiance to this Prophet (i.e. embrace Islam).”

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allahi Wa Barkatuh,
A man came to the Prophet Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam and asked, “What is tazkiyatun-nafs (purification of the soul) ?” The Prophet Salla Allahu Alaihi Wa Sallam replied, “That a person knows Allah is with him wherever he is.” [Saheeh Al-Tabarani]
Success in the Qur’an is tied directly to the purification of the soul. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala takes seven consecutive oaths, found nowhere else in the Qur’an. When Allah ta’ala takes an oath, the object that is sworn by is great and the subject that the oath is taken for is great. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala takes oath after oath, citing the most magnificent creations around us: the sun, the moon, the day, the night, the sky, the earth, and the soul, all to convey to mankind that success and failure is throughTazkiyah:
“Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself, And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself.” (91:9-10)
