Why is it a struggle for us to finish reciting 20 pages (a juz) a day?......PRIORITIES. we have time to read people magazine, "I have to update facebook and twitter, I have to catch my thursday night television"....turn it all off....make your facebook message: i'm going to be reading quran. That's it. And turn it off.

Right now you're sooooo thirsty -- the sewage water outside that you saw walking in on the bridge... you'd like that to drink right now huh? that's the dunya...so why're you running after it?

I'm doing alright in comparison to the guy who doesn't even pray!
I'll be set once I get a Bentley!
we compare ourselves to the best in the dunya and we compare ourselves to the worst in the aakirah...

What's the best time for qiyaam-ul-lail? Anytime after Isha and before Fajr! Just do it!

Habits to Start and Never Leave:

1. Recite Surah Mulk every night. It protects you from punishment in the grave.

2. Recite Ayat-tul-Kursi after every prayer. It protects you from the Hell-Fire.

3. Recite the last 2 verses of Surah Baqarah every night. They act as a guardian over you. They are one of the treasures Allah has blessed us with.

How can we benefit from the Quran if all we care about is getting through the page quickly?
