Ibn Qayyum said something beautiful about summary of our life. Our life is period between our birth and meeting the arrow of death. Once the person is born the arrow is shot, and when we meet the arrow, we die. And our flight back to Allah SWT, is like a bird, with head and two wings. The head is Love of Allah. As for the two wings, they are FEAR and HOPE.

The companions of Prophet SAW are different from the companions of Eisa and Musa. the companions of Musa lead him to want to see Allah SWT because his companions kept saying we wont believe in you until we see Allah SWT. The companions would say "we listen and we obey", while the companions of Musa would say "we listen and we disobey".

People are 3 types:
those who make things happen. they take initiatives. the pioneers. i.e. the "sabiqoon" (Surat Tawbah: 100)
those who watch things happening
those who hear about things that happened
Where are you? Who are you amongst these three?

The 10/80/10 theory- 10% of people will always adore you and love you and what you do, 10% will always hate you and and what you do, and 80% will listen and learn from what you say and do and they will benefit from you. Disregard both ten percents and pay attention to the 80%.

Masajid, meaning salah. They establish prayers. (e.g. Surat Nur).

Prophet SAW would often look at the sky while giving an advice. We should also look at the sky and the stars and allow our minds to ponder about the greatness of Allah SWT. Look at the sky sometimes.
How huge the sky is.
How old the sky is. A regular roof would need maintenance every so many years. But how old is the sky? There are no cracks in it. Who maintains it without any pillars?
