بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Mashallah, On the Shoulder's of Giants was an extraordinary Maghrib class and Sh. Reda Bedeir did an amazing job at connecting us with our honorable legacy of the best people, the companions of Rasullah (salah Allahu alayhi wa salam).

So, I thought it would only be encouraging for others to take the class if we post our funny, touching, and cherishable stories of the past weekends with our respected shaykh Dr. Reda.

Come on, ya Ittihaadiyoon post away!

A touching story Sh. Reda narrated was that of Bilal and Abu Dharr. When they got into an argument and Abu Dharr, a great sahaby but also human spurted to Bilal a belittling remark, 'O Son of a Black woman'.

After the prophet reprimanded Abu Dharr, stating he is still a man that has Jahiliyaah (pre-Islamic characteristics), Abu Dharr went and knocked on Bilal's door and putting his head on the ground told him that he will not rise until "the blessed feet of Bilal tread on the face of the foolish Abu Dharr."

Both weeping, Bilal pulled him up and embracing each other said, "By Allah I will not lay my foot on a face that prostrates to Allah."
