As Salaamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullaah,
Do you know?
Allah says "Ya Ayuhalladhina amanu" (O you who believe!) in the Qur'an 89 times – talking to the believers (us!).
This phrase is always followed by telling the believers to do or not do something.
Example: Ex. Surah At-Tahrim, verse 6, Allah the Exalted says "O you who believe, save yourselves and those who are close to you from the Hellfire." Every time we hear this phrase, we should listen *very carefully & attentively* because our Creator is addressing to us.
Our Prophet Muhammad (may peace be upon him) was told by Allah in the Quran in Surah An-Naml, verse 80 "You cannot get the dead to hear you.." referring to those who have dead hearts.
A heart that does not have any Qu'ran in it is a dead heart.
Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) said, "He who remembers his Lord and he who does not are like the living and the dead." (Sahih Bukhari)
