Bismillah.
This thread is dedicated to designing an awesome name for our Aqeedah classes taught by Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, in sha Allah.
These Aqeedah classes are going to be a series. So we need a totally cool name that will be able to carry for many part 2's and part 3's.
PRIZE: If your name is chosen, you will receive an AlMaghrib scholarship to attend the class, in sha Allah.
Let the name calling begin...

That fact that it triggers past images is alright. Chevy paid millions of dollars to do the marketing for us. AlMu'min Kayyisun Fatin.
As well, the Prophet - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - would take statements that were familar to the Arabs, some of those statements even had haram connotations, and give it a new meaning.
ex: Support your brother whether he is a Dhalim (opresser) or Madhloom (oppressed).
It was a statement of tribalism. But the Prophet - sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam - taught us 'how' to support your brother if he is the tyrant: by holding him back from doing the haram deed, and by doing such you've granted victory to him by saving him from himself.

SubhanAllah shiekh.
I was thinking... this is partly due to the marketing success of these companies. But what if... ALMAGHRIB changed those slogans... and completely changed the connotation with it.
For example, when AlMaghrib takes over the world (inshAllah ta'la). "LIKE A ROCK" will not be known for 'chevy' but some kid will be like "OH COOOOOL WASN'T THAT THE AMAZING CLASS BY ShIEKH YASSIR hafidhahullah!?"

How about a play on the number one
You could call the class One, or 1, and each class could be a play on that
eg
I've got to write this out in words - (This editor doesn't let you type or paste in superscript text :( ) I was thinking of each course name being a play on maths (1 squared (1^2), 1 cubed (1^3), 1 to the power of 4, 101, 201, 301 etc)
eg 1^1; 1^2; 1^3; 1^101; 1^201; One^1; One^2; One^101; One^201
Subhann' Allah, I wish I could type out what I mean so you could see it.
Anyway, when you look at these names/numbers, the answer is always 1; just as the answer in an Aqeedah class should be!
If this doesn't make sense, please let me know. If so, I'll email what I'm thinking to our friendly admin (if he's feeling friendly!) and he might be able to work out a way to post it up on the site.
Asalaamu alaikum

How about something along the lines of the verse, "...fa qad istamsaka bi al-urwah al-wuthqa la anfisama laha..." (the verse right after Ayat al-Kursi)?
I really love the Arabic phrases here, and its actually a Quranic descirption of Aqeedah, but as of yet can't really think of an eye-catching english equivalent.

The First Call
Aqeedah 101
"You are going to a people from the People of the Book. Let the first thing that you call them to be the worship of Allaah. If they acknowledge Allaah, then inform them that Allaah has obligated upon them five prayers during their days and nights." [Al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]
Learning Faith
Aqeedah 101
Jundub Ibn Abdullaah al-Bajaly said, "We learned Imaan (faith) and then we learned the Qur’aan and it increased our Imaan."
Grasping the Dates
Aqeedah 101
Abdullah ibn Umar radiyAllaahu ‘anhu said, "We lived during an instant of time in which one of us would receive faith first before receiving the Qur’aan and when the soorahs were revealed we would learn what they permitted and what they prohibited and what they forbade and what they ordered and what should be the stance towards them. But I have seen many men from whom one is given the Qur’aan before Imaan and he reads it from the opening of the Book to its closing and he does not know what it orders and what it forbids and what should be his stance towards it. He is like someone who is just throwing out dates [i.e., he does not get any benefit from his recital]."
Understanding Our Religion
Aqeedah 101
Imaam Abu Haneefah rahimahullaah pointed out: Understanding in the religion first (i.e. tawheed) and then understanding in the science (i.e. the sharee’ah).
A Solid Heart
Aqeedah 101
Al-aqeedah or al-itiqad according to the scholars of Islam is: The firm creed that one's heart is fixed upon without any wavering or doubt. It excludes any supposition, doubt or suspicion.
The Guiding Light
Aqeedah 101
Allaah subhaanahu wa ta’aala says in the Qur'aan, "And thus We inspired in You (Muhammad) a Spirit of Our command. You did not know what the Scripture was, nor what the Faith (Imaan) was. But we have made it a light whereby We guide whom We will of our bondmen..." [ash-Shoorah, 52].
