I know that if someone were to say "Oh Allah give me this or that by the STATUS of your prophet" is a bidah. However what if they used the word RIGHT instead of STATUS? Would this entail that they are saying that the Prophet(saw) has a right over Allah which would equal shirk?

I think you should also ask if: if the person is at the grave or Rasulullah (S) or away from it.

That is irrelevant to my question since they are calling on Allah to start with and they are not asking Rasullulah(saw) to make dua for them.

Salaam Alaikum
Depends on the intention of the one asking. If one believes that Allah is obliged to respond to the request of any being, this is kufr, but if one believes that there are certain individuals who have more of a chance of their duaa being accepted, this is correct. However, the phrasing that you have mentioned would be an improper tawassul, and thus count as a bid'ah.

Salaam,
Can I ask about Waseelah? (and Jameelah - they say it in the mosques here) I heard you O Brother Yasir Qadhi on the Islam Channel giving an excellent talk about this but I cannot remember it fully. If you could please give a brief explanation? Barak'Allahu Feek!
Wasalaam.
