Salaam Alaikum
The Saheeh International translation is now available in English only - for dawah purposes. I would recommend taht one instead.
However, YA's translation is still better than nothing, so if that's the only choice, don't stop distributing because of it. Also the problem mainly is with certain footnotes - as for the actually translation, it's not as problematic.

Asalamu Alaykum Shaykh Yasir,
I had a question about the translations which I posted in another thread, but it seems like no one noticed it. Maybe you could answer it...
Verse 68:49 about Prophet Yunus seems to have some different interpretations:
YUSUF ALI: Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace.
PICKTHAL: Had it not been that favour from his Lord had reached him he surely had been cast into the wilderness while he was reprobate.
SHAKIR: Were it not that favor from his Lord had overtaken him, he would certainly have been cast down upon the naked Found while he was blamed.
M. ASAD: [And remember] had not grace from his Sustainer reached him, he would indeed have been cast forth upon that barren shore in a state of disgrace
All the above have interpreted this verse in this manner, but the translation from Dr. M. Muhsin Khan and Dr. M. Taqi-ud-Deen Al-Hilali provides a totally different interpretation:
KHAN-HILALI: Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the naked shore, while he was to be blamed.
So the previous translators interpret that he was NOT cast on the shore in a state of disgrace/blame, while Khan-Hilai translation interprets that he WAS cast on the shore in a state of disgrace/blame.
What is the source for the interpretation the Khan-Hilali translation has used? Does this interpretation appear in any of the classical tafseer?
JazakAllah khair.
Wassalaam.

tafsir.com is abridged. Check out the real book and you might find it. I believe reciter.org also has a number of tafaseer in Arabic including Ibn Kathir. Wa Allahu a'lam.
