Thoughts on our first promo as a Qabeelah

As we look back on our first promo, I think we have a great chance to really look at where we're going as a Qabeelah.

For those of you already registered on the forums, alhamdulillaah, many of you were able to either listen in live at the location or live online (i.e., in the case you were giving a halaqah immediately beforehand - which, by the way, isn't an excuse for not coming - Muhammad IbnFaqih was ALSO giving a halaqah immediately before the lecture!!!)

We've scheduled our first organizational meeting for Saturday, January 1st, so I think things are really going to start taking off, in shaa Allaah, soon.

But, let's talk about the promo itself, for those of you that were able to attend.

the speech was excellent ma sha Allah! :D

the only drawback i could think of was definitely promoting the promo... i should have suggested Islamic Center at Broad earlier, then maybe we could've gotten the flyers out the week before.

i think it was too short of a notice for most of the people. we could have build it up some more so that more people anxiously anticipated the event.

thats my 2 cents :)

hay...there is no excuse for not recording or being at the halaqah on brotherhood =)
1-also where were all the bros at? (fshareef, Abu H, etc)
2-why was i not informed of this other halaqah by Shaikh Faqih?
3-both shaikh Faqih and shaikh Alshareef were mentioned in the halaqah (i recorded it)

could not make it cuz my mom didn't want to go to broad st...to far

at least i got us a knew member to the forums...my blood bro AKA Nasrullah

yes we need to work on this. insahallah at our meeting we can go over this
