I need to remind/ask all of you about the zonal competition which is being hosted by Banu Haizum on Sunday Jan. 2nd, 2005 at 2pm inshaAllah.

Request to all ameerahs: Please let us know how many people will be coming from your zone to the competition so we can arrange for food accordingly?

I wouldn't be too big on food. it's a bad idea, because that ends up taking too much time. i'd say just snacks.

also, is someone organizing this? who's doing the questions, etc? we need someone really fair in charge of it. (they don't have to be necessarily in charge). I suggest Umm Sarah --if she's coming =) I hope inshaAllah that it'll be even smoother this time around since we've done it 3 times already.

plus---last time was a little hectic with so many people, and i felt that we didn't get as much accomplomished as compared to when it was just one study circle against another.

just some thoughts.

I think Sister Bazigha spoke to me about this at the conference but I can't recall exactly what she said... I guess just about the competition being on the 2nd? In sha'Allah, we will be there...I just need to consult with Umm Sarah and then we just hafta figure out who's driving allllll the way over there..so we can all carpool. Sidra is not the Ameerah for the North side study circle. Farzana is :) Sidra is the over all Ameerah...(I think every zone has two--a study circle Ameerah, and then an Ameerah to have everyone work on getting that liwaa').

i'm so sorry i'm so late in replying...i was under the impression by ameerahs you meant the banu ameerahs and not the study session ones right? because you only mentioned four names...ah well alot of the people i asked so far say if they are coming or not all depends on where its going to be held. You didn't give an exact place yet, but i did tell them it'll be somewhere around masjid el farouq (i hope i was right?) so if you could confirm the place please, that would be great!:)

but inshaAllah i'll try to get you the headcounts by asr time today.

We really missed Banu Kifah, and hope to see everyone at the Pre Test inshaAllaah. It really was a great feeling to have you with us in such a loving atmosphere alhamdulillaah.
