As salaamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu
I wanted to suggest if we could add some new sections like a Qur'aan Section, Hadeeth Section and Islaamic Issues section.
I understand that there may not be enough room to add these things, but I would like to bring to your attention that some of the sections we currently have, seem to have not as much benefit as others or do not contain many postings in them. Of them, Khutbah.com eBulletin, Student Life, Children, and My Name is. I think those subject matters can probably be posted in general.
And Allaah knows best. Jazaakamullaahu Khayran.

I agree that Khutbah.com eBulletin and Student life and Children section are not that popular. Under what section name could we consolidate this? Should we call it "Family Da'wah"?
As well, I wouldn't have a problem with a section called, AlQuran alKareem, and another section called 'AlHadeeth AnNabawee AshShareef' and a third called 'Da'wah City'. These three could replace the above three mentioned (since the above are obviously not that popular).
Anyone else want to give their opinion before we implement this. Note, we are trying to keep the section headings to a minimum in order not to confuse the forum.

I would leave khutbah.com for now, even though its not being utilized but I do believe you have some plans for khutbah.com in the future -
So later on when khutbah.com is being promoted more, etc. it will perhaps be of benefit to have a section for it, and have questions / comments related to it, etc.?
But Student Life and Children could be put under Family Da3wah for sure.

Brother Muhammad and Brother Sasjamal, you should take a look at Brother Abu Hurayrah's forum. Maa shaa Allaah, the way it is set up there is very beneficial. When you want to learn something about the Qur'aan or post something about the Qur'aan you post it in that section. Same with Hadeeth and Islaamic Issues section. It is very beneficial and simplified. Maa shaa Allaah.

Oh yah, without a doubt, that sound wicked (just my idea), I believe Muhammad said the exact same as you said, I was just saying, I think maybe its good to also just let Khutbah.com stay as I believe he has additional plans for it, so later on there might be posts more related to what he is doing with that particular site.
(just my 10 cents).

After conferring with the Ameer, I will go ahead with some sections changes, in shaa Allaah. I like the proposals - as mentioned, basically, A Qur'aan section, a Hadeeth section, and a general Da`wah section - right? And the three "weak" sections would be merged into the Da`wah section, correct?
Like I said, I will confer with Br. Muhammad first, in shaa Allaah.

I have presented a few options to the ameer, and I'm waiting for the final say, in shaa Allaah.
The changes will be implemented without delay upon confirmation, in shaa Allaah.

The new sections are pending final approval. Included is a section for Qur'aan and Hadeeth.

The final decision, for now, of the administration with regards to the forums is to leave them as they are.
Most of the benefits of creating new sections are already addressed by other sections, and the potential gain does not necessarily outweigh the potential confusion of new sections.
If there is some concern about not being able to identify posts because we don't have special sections, this is easily ameliorated (however that's spelled) by prepending any messages with [Qur'aan] or [Hadeeth] or whatever subject the post happens to be about.
In fact, this might even turn out to be a more beneficial method, because we can see all them at once, rather than jumping from one forum to another.
