as-salam alykoom,

Two more weeks!!! YEEAAAHHHH!!!!!! =)

So, I need some tips on how to prepare myself for class. Can everyone share their inputs on how they prepare themselves for class? It would help me out a lot =)

One of the ways to truly prepare for "Guiding to Allah by the Book" is to get serious about serving this deen. To get serious about your ideas on what you hope to achieve for this Deen in the short and long term.

Don't take this advice lightly. It's the essence of reaping full benefit from this seminar, in sha Allah.

asalamu alaikum

THe class is less then 2 weeks away. THis is when everyone has to put their advertising efforts into 5th gear. Alhamdullilah, registration has picked up and looks like we will be getting a lot of people from out of town.

salam Alikom;

Is it a good idea to listen to the da'waa CD before class? I already bought them but was thinking listen first or listen live from the Sheikh..
I am thinking of getting my daughter to attend this class (<13 yrs od) but wondering if the subject is a bit early for her.

Jazakum Allah khairan

With all of the above said. Buy a good pair of sneakers and track pants to wear to the class.

Prepare to be enlightened, educated and cultivated in way you never have before.

For myself Dua helped.

I also mentally prepared by cleaning my study area at home, I made sure my designated study space was ready and had minimal distractions. by doing this I felt I organized space in my mind for knowledge to sink in and be not withdrawn by objects that would cause me to lack awareness for visual perception. It really helps, even though you might think that this would be the last thing you need to worry about...but I find that it is a crucial aspect and is of vital significance for the increase of knowledge InshaAllah.

6 YEAAAAAAAH 6

you'll know when you take Fiqh Ad-Dawah insha Allah....oh and watch out for the many Tafseer Surat Baqarah plugs!

Y'know that reminds me:
When i taught Usool AlFiqh, I kept telling myself that the best compliment to this class would be Fiqh AdDa'wah. So, that was the next class i taught.

As i taught Fiqh adDa'wah, the next class that I felt would best compliment it was ... Conquest ~ history of the Khulafaa'.

So, in other words, you are going to get plugged for that.

It was in preparing and teaching Conquest that i felt the best and natural compliment was studying the Qur'an, the source of strength for the Sahabah, the source of realizing the accomplishments that they achieved. Thus ~ Breach of Covenant - Tafseer Surat AlBaqarah.

Take note: this is how the plugs will be worked.
