As-salamu alaykum everyone, and bismillah,

It gives me great pleasure to announce to you today, the newest addition to the AlMaghrib family. Our new instructor, my beloved brother Imam Shpendim Nadzaku (pronounced: Na-jako)

I know, it will take you some time to get it right, like it did to me when I first met him back in 1994 or1995 in Madinah. Imam Shpendim is originally from New Jersey (good for you Durbah) of Macedonian decent (That’s where he got his cool name from). He graduated from Madinah, college of Shari’ah, back in 2001. He was contemporary to our other instructors from Madinah, sh. Mohammad al-Shareef and sh. Yasir Qadhi.

I remember Imam Shpendim when he first came to Madinah, he was very eager to learn the Arabic language and very excited. He now speaks Arabic better than I do masha’Allah. His passion to the language made him one of my main sources of translating Arabic classical texts, especially poetry. (You maybe remember the Agheebu nasheed we played at Ilm Summit, he helped a lot with that.)
I kept in touch with him after graduation and Alhamdulillah remained so until this day. He is currently the Imam of Rockford, IL close to the Chicago area (Wasat territory)

He will soon be teaching with us for AlMaghrib Institute, and with his beautiful smile, outstanding teaching skills and down to earth character I am very positive he will be a great addition to our team of wonderful instructors. May Allah put barakah and tawfeeq in his effort and the effort of all our dear teachers.

So please let us all welcome our new instructor Ustadh Shpendim Nadzaku.
