can I ask what a qabeelah is? reading some threads, someone might say, "my folder..." what folder??

can I ask what a qabeelah is?

Basically, the Qabaa’il (plural for qabeelah, meaning tribe) are the student bodies of the various locations in which almaghrib seminars are taught. Every location has it’s own qabeelah name. For instance, if you look at my location to your left, you’ll notice that I am from Ottawa, and I belong to the qabeelat ansar student body.

If you schroll down in the main page of the forums, you’ll notice that every qabeelah has it’s own folder, so if one were to say ‘my folder’, they may very well be referring to their qabeelah folder. And Allaah knows best!

Aah so that's how you got that white flag! The white flag is the liwaa, the one belonging to the champion tribe: Nurayn. They won it. We won the black one for best exam attendance, but we're doing our best to win the white one too!

You can become a member of a qabeelah once you take an almaghrib seminar in that qabeelah's city. Hence I'm part of Majd, the qabeelah that hosts seminars for Toronto. One day maybe London will host AlMaghrib seminars, their bid didn't work out before, but I hear AlKawthar is doing similarly amazing work?

walaikum salam sister, i dont go uni i go sixth form which is college.i didnt attend any seminar but i went to the user cp and joined to all the qabail. shall i chage the white flag?

how is toronto like, hows the islam like there, is there a lot of active da'ees?
