Asalam alaikum,
In class the Sheikh spoke about us changing our habits of speech. Can someone please list a few of the things that can be said to replace inappropriate language? And please list the reference. I don't speak Arabic and would like to be able to look them up, read them and memorize them. Jazak Allahu Khairun! |

This dua is for if you get angry or something bad afflicts you:
Ina lillahi wa inaa ilayhi rajioon- to Allah we belong, and to Him is our return. ![]() 156. Who say, when afflicted with calamity: "To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return":- ![]() 157. They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. It's ayas 156-157 of Surah Al-Baqara. |

Re: Question
Subhaan Allaah (Glory be to Allaah)
Allaahu Akbar (Allaah is the Greatest) Alhamdulillaah (All Praise and Thanks be to Allaah) The Prophet (SAS) used to say Subhaan Allaah or Allaahu Akbar when he saw or heard something that angered him. The point is that we have to learn how to make our du'aa and words positive. If someone gets hurt, say bismillaah. If someone gets sick, make du'aa for them. This is a good question, because it shows that students are seeking to implement what they learn in their lives. |
