Fiqh Vs. Usool Al-Fiqh

What can be better then to clarify before the class?

Assalamu 'alaikum,

in a few days not too far away, by the grace and mercy of Allah (S.W.A), we will be recieving the mutoon for the TCE class done by the brothers at Tayybah. The idea was from a good brother to do a mutoon for a class that will help us understand Usool al-Fiqh and so that was done. The mutoon is being edited and perfected as we speak due to soem missing information.

But the topic you have mentioned and others will be covered on it. To be very precise, however, Fiqh is the understanding of what is intended and Usool-al-Fiqh would then be the principles behind the understanding of what is intended. The mutoon for the notes give more detail for the Islamic definition.

Insha Allah, has the venue for the Usool Al Fiqh class been finalized? Insha Allah if it's near a train station, I'm definitely there bi'idhnillah!

Oh and does someone have to take Evolution of Fiqh to take Usuool Al Fiqh? I haven't taken Evolution of Fiqh yet. Thanks!

Assalamu 'alaikum,

you do not have to take TCE in order to take EOF. This is what I know and as for the venue, i don't believe its been decided yet but its close, make du'aa insha-Allah.

You don't have to take TCE 'The Evolution of Fiqh' prior to the Usool class. These are two different topics. Although it would be much better if you could at least review the notes with someone who attended the class.
As we teach Usool we will be referring to TCE every now and then....So be prepared.
