The best part was those eye-tearing expressions of parent appreciation and gratitude by the various volunteers who pourer their hearts out on the mic thanking their parents for letting them volunteer and being part of al maghrib and also for raising them with an understanding of ISLAM. First time I saw Muslim men cry in front of their parents saying thank you and I Love You. First time I saw practicing muslim fathers give their sons real bro hugs. ALHAMDULILLAH, it was touching to say the least.

I've never heard an encouraging word for being an active volunteer with Durbah uttered by my father until after this event...Wallahi it changed his perspective about Durbah and Almaghrib in general. As for the brother who teared thanking his deceased father is what touched my family the most. This is what parents need to learn and hear --that we recognize their efforts and its not forgotten and will be remembered long after they are gone-- and we will continue to have them in our duaas, inshallah.
