Ibn Rajab said that there are three stages of knowledge. When you enter the first stage, you become arrogant, in the second stage you become humble. In the final and third stage you will acknowledge the fact that you are ignorant.

One of the things this class stresses is the fact that everything isn't just black and white. Just because you're religious, doesn't make you perfect. You're human. You have faults and make mistakes. And so do/did our respected scholars. We need to learn to respect them even with this, and learn from both their successes and their shortcomings. Instead of expecting them to be like the Angels, we have to realize that they are only human.

Also, I love that Shaykh covered female scholars and emphasized on their role in Islam and Society and the father-daughter relationship. I wish more people could take this class.
