I looked this up online and started reading the end part in which he describes the Muslim Conquest of Egypt. I was a little disturbed, because though the book says that the Muslims did not destroy their churches, it does say that they increased the taxes upon the people unbearably and treated the Egyptians, according to him, worse than Pharaoh treated the Children of Israel.

So, I was just wondering.. are there any other sources from the non-Muslims of the area that paint a more positive picture?
