Re: So what do you know about the Khulafaa'???
Quote:
Okay..so if I remember correctly…the story was that the rasool was walking with was it Abu khuzaymah….and a man accused the prophet of not paying for the horse, so abu khuzaymah witnessed that the prophet paid even tho he wasn’t there, and when the rasool asked him how he knew…he said, I believe that u are a prophet, how can I not believe u are not telling the truth. Ohhhhhhh..wait…I’m so confused…I think its KHUZAYMAH (not abu khuzaymah)….here’s the exact narration… Narrated Uncle of Umarah ibn Khuzaymah: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) bought a horse from a Bedouin. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) took him with him to pay him the price of his horse. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) walked quickly and the Bedouin walked slowly. The people stopped the Bedouin and began to bargain with him for the horse as and they did not know that the Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) had bought it. The Bedouin called the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) saying: If you want this horse, (then buy it), otherwise I shall sell it. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) stopped when he heard the call of the Bedouin, and said: Have I not bought it from you? The Bedouin said: I swear by Allah, I have not sold it to you. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Yes, I have bought it from you. The Bedouin began to say: Bring a witness. Khuzaymah ibn Thabit then said: I bear witness that you have bought it. The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) turned to Khuzaymah and said: On what (grounds) do you bear witness? He said: By considering you trustworthy, Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him)! The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) made the witness of Khuzaymah equivalent to the witness of two people. QUESTION: What’s the story behind “throw me over”….sadia…lets see if u can be quick enough to answer before anyone else

Re: ThE VoRteX
assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
du'a how did you know that was one of my favourite stories ![]() during the battle of yamamah [the largest of the huroob ar riddah] the muslim army was fighting the apostate army of musaylimah the liar the muslim army was able to push back the enemy army, and they all were pushed back till they took refuge in musaylimah's fortified garden. so they shut the huge gate and locked themselves inside, leaving the muslim army locked out on the outside! enter al baraa bin malik radi Allahu anhu [brother of anas bin malik] he said, THROW ME OVER THE GATE!! he wanted to be thrown over the gate INTO the garden, which was FULL of the enemy soldiers. once inside he would fight off the apostates and open the gate to allow the muslim army to enter! so the muslims put al baraa onto a sheild and using their spears they catapulted him over the gates and into the garden. once inside, he had to fight the ENTIRE apostate army single handedly, until finally he was finally able to reach the gate and open the locks! then the muslim army entered and finished off the apostates

and they aren;t numbered! Anyhow if my memory is as good as I think it is... it was the 3rd day of the Battle of Al Qaadisiyyah which was the day of 'Imaas. The fought from Fajr to the following Fajr (24 hrs), so they fought throughout the night. The Battle ended at Fajr and the Muslims were victorious. The way you can kill an Elephant is by standing right in front of it and as it is charging towards you, you take an arrow and you shoot it right for the eye. Which Khalifah gave a chance to those who had apostated to fight in the battle and why? |

Jazakillahu khayr.
1. Banu Asad 2. calm your heart, stand infront of the elephant and aim for his eye. [imagine that was one of the exam questions ...now that would be sweet]Next Question: Give the three reasons for Apostacy during the Khilaafa of Abu Bakr (r.a)

Re: ThE VoRteX
Oops, sorry Qamar, I didn't know you answered.
Answer to your question: 'Umar (r.a), because people were not enthusiastic to join the army. (I think...someone please verify)
