Re: ThE VoRteX

I thought the people of Shaam were dedicated to Mu'awiyah (ra)? I think he was the governor there. Allahu a'lam, I'll go through my notes to double check.
Just to clear up, along with the post that followed
Iraq and Syria were included in the 'Shaam' area, along with Jordan and other surrounding areas.

Bismillah...
Wa Alaikum Wasalam sister...
Umar's (ra) advice to the generals:
a. Don't take Muslims to death because of treasures.
b. Don't sleep the night until you know the weak points of the area.
c. Allah is testing you with me and me with you.
d. Close your eyes on the Dunya and busy your heart with other things.
e. Don't let the Dunya destroy you as it destroyed others before you.

...and Allah knows best.

Question: During the Caliphate of Umar (ra) where did the Plague of Omwaas hit?

Re: ThE VoRteX

Banu ‘Ijil was the weakest link. Muthanna (ra) went to survey the battle from higher ground. He noticed that Banu ‘Ijil were the weakest link. He sent them a message "The Amir sends his salaam, don't expose the muslims." They took this to heart and became one of the fiercest teams.

Question: On day 2 of the battle of Qaadisiyah, the day of Aghwaath, a cavalry came to join the muslims and assist them, what was the name of the general of this cavalry?

Bismillah...
Do you mean regarding Umm Haram (ra)? 'Cuz if so:
  1. Before the conquest of Cyprus, the Prophet (SAW) prophesized that the muslims would become naval fighters, and they did become so when they traveled on boats from Sham to Cyprus.
  2. After his first dream/vision, Umm Haram (ra) asked the Prophet (SAW)to invoke Allah to make her among them. He (SAW) had a second dream/vision, and Umm Haram (ra) asked for the same thing, but the Prophet (SAW) replied that she was among the first ones, which meant that she wouldn't be alive for the second battle. Umm Haram (ra) had died shaheed in Cyprus -> "THE GRAVE OF THE RIGHTEOUS WOMAN".
Allah knows best...

Question: What was the technic that Abdullah ibn AzZubayr (ra) came up with to fight the Romans at the Conquest of Northern Africa?

Re: ThE VoRteX

Abdullah ibn Azzubair (ra) noticed there was no fighting after duhur. When he asked ibn Sa’ad (ra) about this, he said the soldiers got tired in the heat. So ibn Azzubair (ra) said they should keep a behind in the morning and send them in to replace the first battalion after duhur. Ibn Azzubair (ra) even offered to lead this batallion. In his enthusiasm he charged out, and rushed in so fast that he left his battalion behind. The Roman army thought he was a messenger so they cleared aside and opened the castle. Ibn Azzubair went in and found himself in front of the Roman general, who was being fanned and fed. He took the general's head off and fought his way, single handedly, back to the gate and opened it for the Muslims and let them in. They won Tunis that day.

Sorry I can't think of a question. Someone help!
