As salaam 'alaikum akhee,

This is really awesome. About a dozen brothers went to Houston from Austin for the last class. The Houston brothers were awesome and they took care of everything for us last time. It was an amazing experience. So, don't worry too much about it. I will inform the brother who helped us with everything last time and who is in charge of khidmah to visiting students. We can figure out a way to get him in touch with you or vice versa, insha'Allah.

A lot of us are planning on going for that class as well. We can probably hang out together, insha'Allah :)

If there is anything else you think I can help you with, please feel free to let me know.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
Was salaam 'alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakaatuh

Re: Evolution of Fiqh Class

Whats up Waheed? Do you remember me? We met a long time ago, like almost 2 and a half weeks ago in Qabeelat Mubarak, George Mason University? We would love to host you insha allah. In fact, our city is even called Host-on. I will let our Director of Planning & Development know that you guys will be coming down. How many people will be coming (confirmed)?

Re: Evolution of Fiqh Class

Assalaamu'alaikum, Waheed.

I'm glad to hear that you guys will be coming down to Houston for the next class. I apologize for not replying earlier, but inshaAllah I will be helping you guys get settled down here and find you a place to stay. Last time the Austin brothers came, they stayed at a masjid (Masjid Abu Bakr) not too far away from where the class was being held (about 12.7-minute drive). I truly am very excited to meet you guys once you come down here, and if there's anything I can help you with, feel free to call me when you like. My cell phone number is 832-788-4006. I don't check the forums all that often, to be honest, so phone or email is the best way to reach me.

Also a small suggestion.....if possible, can you change your flight schedule to where you'll be arriving at Hobby Airport in Houston? This is actually much closer to the class site and your possible lodging location as well. If you can't change it, it won't be a big deal inshaAllah. Again, I apologize for not replying earlier to your post.

Assalaamu'aliakum wa rahmatullah
Amir Salam

Arrival:
*They'll arrive in Houston Intercontinental (IAH) at 2:31 PM on Thursday, May 20-Insha Allah. It's flight 6347 from Dallas.
Departure:
*They'll leave from Houston Intercontinental (IAH) at 7:35 AM on Monday, May 31-Insha Allah.

These were the cheapest flights they could find. I hope it's ok.
We're still looking for more brothers/sisters. Make du'aa for us.
Waheed, email me directly at manager@almaghrib.org I want to give you some tips that will make your trip more enjoyable insha allah, put you in touch with some people, give you some ideas for things to do during the week insha allah.

Re: Evolution of Fiqh Class

Asalaamu `alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu,

So if Hosna is HOSTon because they are able to arrange for a lot of hosts for out-of-towners, does that mean the Durbah is New Jersey, since we should be providing clothing for all of our students? Hmmm ... random thoughts from Durbah ...

Re: Evolution of Fiqh Class

Assallam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters from Hosna,

There is already a lot buzz on the forums regarding the TCE class. I wanted to ask of those that have purchased and read some of the references that Shaykh Yasser Birjas has suggested how important (from detailed knowledge perspective) and supplemental they are towards the class? And/or do you feel it takes you further than what is in the class (which i presume is mindblowing by itself already since i've been to one of hist lectures)?
