Going crazy

Assalamoalakum Wr Wbr Sheikh,
As the count down goes on and we continue our efforts to study for exam,its getting difficult to memorize the specific dates expecially the dates of birth and death of all the imams and a few million other dates mentioned in the notes.Do we need to remember those? Even if I wipe out my brain and store only the dates ,I wont remember them a week after the exam.
Suggestions?

haha...yeah, i have trouble with dates too.
