Time w/author of DON'T BE SAD

Asalaamu aleykum wa rahmatullah,

I just heard some great news.

A friend of mine from Montreal is good friends with the translator of "Don't be Sad", Faisal ibn Muhammad Shafeeq.

Alhumdulillah, there is a good chance I can get some time to go out with these brother's over the hoiday break. I have suggested the 'Interview of the Month' idea to my friend and he loves it.

So

What questions can we ask br. Faisal?

I've picked up the book and will read it in the next few days insha'Allah. These are my initial thoughts:

1. Ustadh, can you share with us your backstory and experience. Where did you grow up, where did you learn, and what is your area of focus?

2. In 2005 in the GTA there were over 100 shooting deaths. 10 of those were Muslim brothers. How can we keep our young brothers out of these bad circumstances?
.
.
(Your ideas go here)
.
.
5. Do you have any final naseehah for our readers/listeners?

Please give your input guys, and if there is anyone who wants to come you are more than welcome! Just get in touch with me.

Jazak Allah khair

The plan was to interview the translator of the book not its author. That's why I did not respond.

I didn't respond because I was expecting others to respond.

Faisal is awesome mashAllah!

You can ask him how physical health relates to emotional health, and if one can be emotionally strong if he/she is physically healthy. (I say this because mashAllah he is good at sports and likes to stay active with the brothers, so if you ask him about it maybe you can ask him about the rumors that he was king of the court in Madina! MashAllah)

awesome, awesome!
Jazakallahu khairun Abu Sunnah, this gives me a great direction to take the interview.

I lined up another really good contact today. I am in touch with the main guys behind Canada's first youth magazine 'AVER'.

They will be launching at RIS insha'Allah and I got time with them. You guys got to see this magazine! its one of the best things I've ever come across for people our age, alhumduillah.

fyi 'Aver' means to openly declare. you've been AVERED. not your AVERage magazine. I want to get AVERy issue. ok I stop now.
