Jummu`ah Marketing ~ Fiqh of Love

Asalaamu `alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu,

As we enter the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah (the most blessed days of the year), we're getting ready to take Durbah's marketing to a whole new level of Durbawesomeness, organization and style! YYEEEEAAAHHHH!!!

One phase of this strategy is focused on jummu`ah. We're looking to get volunteers in every masjid in NJ and the surrounding states. These Masjid Reps would be responsible for carrying out marketing assignments at their specific masjid for jummu`ah (and only that masjid). This may include --

* Speaking with the masjid administration to post Durbah seminar/event posters before jumm`ah.
* Passing out cards/flyers for Durbah seminars and events.
* Making sure Durbah seminar/event info is included in jummu`ah announcements.
* Other tasks.

As the Jummu`ah Masjid Rep, you would be expected to coordinated marketing tasks such as the ones listed above. You are not expected to do everything yourself. You are welcome to recruit a certain number of brothers and sisters to help you accomplish your tasks. As the Jummu`ah Masjid Rep, we would look to you to get the job done in the best possible way bi idhnillah.

We would only need 1 or 2 Jummu`ah Masjid Reps for each masjid (if 2, then we would prefer that it would be one brother and one sister). This would help make it easier to get the information to the Jummu`ah Masjid Reps inshaa' Allah.

Br. Amir, you forgot the masjid in Shirley( I dont know the address or anything, maybe you can find out).

I think sending a poster would be good. We can put up a poster in Selden, make sure to tell Br. Haashim, before they are gone.
Bayshore is good with announcments, Selden, I am not so sure.

Also, while we are at it, how about the MSA Stony Brook, Suffolk, Hofstra, etc. All the students can make announcements and hand out fliers at their school jumu'ahs, in shaa Allaah.

Also in the case of Long Island masaajid, please dont send the fliers becaus they might be misplaced unless an individual has specifically spoken with the administration and asked permission of the masjid, thats how things work on Long Island, they dont do much but have a lot of bureaucracy.
