Will YOU accept the Majd Challenge?

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,

Alhamdulillah I am honoured to annouce the very first Majd

INTER-BANU QUIZ COMPETITION.

InshaAllah it will be taking place Saturday May 6th, 2006, the weekend before the exam. Location and time still to be determined.

Each Banu will have ONE team of three representatives (one for the brothers, one for the sisters..the competition will be separate of course). In a jeopardy-style game, based on course content from the Light Of Guidance, the winner will be determined and that Banu will be crowned champion of the Majd Banu-Siblinghood.

We will have a separate winner from the brothers and from the sisters. What we need you Banus to do is start your study circle preparations. Once you have formed that, contact your city rep and let them know that you would like to compete.

Should more than one study group from each gender be interested in an area, there will be a local competition to determine who will represent their Banu at the Majd Challenge. So Start your study groups NOW!

I would accept on behalf of either Banu Shaja'ah or North York

...but since i know there are more capable sisters on the forum from Shaja'ah then I, i'll accept on behalf of Banu North York

something like what appears on this thread is what I had in mind.

Everyone would change location to Banu ____ for the quiz, so it becomes easy to mark. There wouldnt be any teams; each individual would simply be representing their banu. First correct answer is traced back to the banu. if people want, scores can further be divided to take into account brother/ sister responses, but the smaller banus might not have that luxury .

anyhow, seems like Hosna had alot of fun.

If the quiz is on the forum, we'll have to keep refreshing our pages. Not only is this a headache but some people may be in a disadvantage for having slow computers.. so why not do it on paltalk?
