Light Upon Light :)
Bismillaah
Assalam 'alaykum wa Rahmatullah I didn't see a section for this class under seminars, so I'm posting this question here, insha'allah. My question is, is this class good for new Muslims and non-Muslims? I have some really good friends who are ready and eager to learn about Islam, and I want them to get to know Allah (subhan aw wa ta'ala) better, b/c I feel that will help them get rid of any doubts about Islam and then understand what is possibly lacking in their own deen. Sh. Yasir, would you recommend this class for them? Jazakallah khair Wassalaam 'alaykum wa Rahmatullah |

Re: Light Upon Light :)
Salaam alaikum
Since this is a more advanced class, and we'll be discussing rules and evidences regarding *how* to understand the Names and Attributes, I don't think it is very suitable to someone who doesn't know the basics of tawheed. Allahu Alam... the first class is much more suitable for non-Muslims, but I don't think this one is. At the same time, I'm not prohibiting any non-Muslims from coming; just realize what the course is about and judge accordingly. Yasir |

Bismillah ~ Assalam 'alaykum Sh. Yasir,
Is there any recommended reading material before the class? I feel it's going to be pretty intensive, and a recommended book may help give us a slight idea of what to expect. And how thoroughly do you think we should review our LOG notes? Assalam 'alaykum |
