20 Gems/Lessons From GoBeyond

After having completed 6 sessions with sensei's GoBeyond coaching...here are 20 gems/lessons/apoi that I wrote down. InshaAllah it will be of benefit to you all.
  • Make du'aa and always trust in Allah (swt)…no matter how crazy the emotional roller coaster may seem.
  • Mistakes are part of the learning process. Failure is a blessing. Learn to enjoy and savor the pain if you cant forget it. Derive lessons from it and move forward. It will help you progress
  • If your reason isn't big enough, then you wont do amazing things. In the beginning of the year I started off with a plan, but half way through the year I realized that those items in the plan didn't have a big enough reason. Amazingly those things in my someday maybe list have now become a reality.
  • Mind is like a muscle. If you don't exercise it, then it will become weak. Looking for easy ways out is not exercising the mind, rather look for the best way out.
  • When I need to do things, I am not on my own. I can enlist the help of others.
  • I don't have to get things perfect. I just have to get them going. Only then will I progress.
  • Excitement of a dream and a defined plan goes only so far. It takes solid discipline and action to make it happen. The only one to make a plan work is YOU.
  • Bumps and obstacles on the path to success are NOT bumps and obstacles. They are CHALLENGES. Face them and overcome them.
  • The only way to conquer a fear is to face it head on and grab it by its horns.
  • People helping me will not hinder the learning process. The fact is I need people to help me in every aspect of life. Whether it be advice, a helping hand, tutorials, or even encouragement. When people offer help, accept it.
  • When you slip and fall, don't beat yourself up. Get up, wipe yourself off, and keep moving forward.
  • When you take certain actions such has eating too much, know that no one forced you to do it. When you say "I can't help it" you are kidding yourself. Fact is you have a choice.
  • If I want to attain wealth, then I must stay out of debt.
  • Don't think as a individual, rather think as a team. You will accomplish more. Muhammad (saw) got the message of Islam across, not by himself, but he had a team of companions, who also had a team of tabieen, who also had a team of tabe tabieen.
  • Fear never decreased one's life, cowardice never extended one's life.
  • The only way to find out if you can do something or not, is to do it. You won't know until you go.
  • Procrastination will lead to the death of a good action. Don't procrastinate. Schedule it in and follow through.
  • 20% of the stuff we have to do will give 80% of the result. Know what the 20% is and move forward.
  • When moving towards a goal, keep it specific. Consistently imagine yourself at the end, and consistently gauge yourself as you move forward.
  • If I had 50 workers, what would I do? I would make a movie!
