Re: Qabeelat Website...Aww yeaah!!

black represents strength, endurance, and firmness towards their support of Rasul Allaah sal Allaahu 'alayhi wa sallam and Islam, while the gold color represents victory, and glory. The beige just balances it out.

Re: Qabeelat Website...Aww yeaah!!

I think we should combine modernity and antiquity. The idea of someone making wudu in the canal is awesome and would add some local flava to our website, and the gold, white, and black colour scheme would add a sort of historical feel to it.

as salamu alaikum

I think the theme should be based around unity and leadership. Al-Ansar encapsulates more than just abstract objects. If you look at the Madinan period during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (saw) you recognize that a significant part of that time was forming the Muslim state and it’s security—unity and leadership.

Insha’Allah, this would be a great theme to work with, not to mention one to live up to. =)

And Allah knows best!...

I agree. Although I think you ment concrete objects? It really flows with Ansar as being 'the helpers' and our slogan; Mission:Submission (which we should also keep in mind when coming up with these ideas). As sr. Idil mentioned, I think that it would be most beneficial to come up with a theme first so that our ideas for the website revolve around it. If the case were that we chose this as a theme, the person making wudu in the canal wouldn't really work out. wAllaahu a'lam

Any other takers on themes?

Mashaa'Allaah ahlul Ansar, keep up the brainstorming

Wslm...
I am not that good with colors ;p but the suggestions above seem really nice!!!

When we have some final choices, perhaps we can take a quick poll?

Asalamu alaikum

I like the colours Trust in Allah posted. They are timeless and represent so much. Black for rock, grey & white for the sky and gold precious, beautiful and coveted timelessly never losing in luster or value representative of good deeds, good action and good rewards insha'allah.

These colours are strong and gender neutral..I am a fan of pinks and light blue but not sure how the brothas would feel about that I say go with black white gold.
